We aim in Buckley House to provide a quality primary education in a co-educational setting for all students in our care from Early Learning to Year 6
We value individual difference - the diverse range of personalities, experiences, interests, learning styles and social and academic needs that comprise our student population.
We aim to cater, through our strong classroom curriculum programs, supplemented by our individual student programs, for the special needs of each Buckley House student, whilst upholding the special traditions and values of an Ivanhoe Grammar School education.
Curriculum
Buckley House students enjoy the challenge of learning and love to learn. Our core curriculum is based around the following key learning areas:

We employ an integrated curriculum approach, where learning is enhanced by natural links between the key learning areas.
In addition, individual student programs are planned and implemented for those students who need support and for those who must be further challenged and extended. These programs complement the regular classroom program of instruction in the key learning areas.
In Buckley House classrooms, the teaching and learning situations are active, rather than passive, with students involved in solving problems, taking on challenges and gaining understandings about their world. Students often work together to share ideas and decision making and to achieve group goals.
All students receive Christian Education through their weekly Chapel service.
