The outdoor education program helps students to learn by doing
Students at Ivanhoe Grammar School experience adventure, challenge, team building, leadership, initiative and collaborative problem solving through an exciting mix of adventure activities in a range of regional and urban environments.
This program, closely linked to the school’s commitment to the Round Square philosophy, encourages students to take risks in safe environments so they can learn to become accountable for their own actions. This exciting adventure program includes urban, coastal, bush, mountainous and alpine experiences where students experience mountain biking, cross country skiing, camping, canoe touring, abseiling, rock climbing and bush walking.
The outdoor education program fully supports the curriculum at every level and is conducted by fully trained professional outdoor educators in conjunction with specialist providers.
